The best you could
This haunted house is full of fear, old ghosts passed down through the years. A dark cloud is cast upon your mind that hides the light that shines inside. Oh mother, father, I know you did the best you could. On a stormy ocean we were raised, heavy rain, and waves of pain. Victim to the winds that blow. Lost and cold nowhere to go. Oh mother, father, I know you did the best you could. (We did the best we could, not always as we should). This haunted house is full of fear (we grew up here as well). Old ghosts passed down through the years (and fell under the spell). A dark cloud is cast upon your mind (and all that we could do). That hides the light that shines inside (is pass it on). Oh mother, father, I know you did the best you could. Now I can see the fear in me. I know what it made me be. I can feel the pain that you had to bear all this time. And it’s no one’s fault, ignorance made this result. But now that I hold it in my hands, I can heal its wounds, I can love it and set it free. Oh mother, father, I know you did the best you could.
